Lensbaby blog circle - A Meeting in Real Life
If you are following this circle the last months you will know another member of this circle Ute from Californialover. I first learned about Ute in this blog circle – from her first posts I loved her work and was looking forward to her pictures and blog posts.
Some technical issues with the websites got us messaging and we realized, that Ute was planning a trip to Germany and we had the same thought: we would love to meet each other.
Due to Ute’s family and friends living in the north of Germany and me living in the south it took a bit of organizing – but in the end we found we could both squeeze in a day and meet in:
And so we took the Blog Circle a little bit further and spent a day together in Germany’s former capital.
The weather was not really ‘summerly’, it was rather cold and the sky was grey – the town was a bit dreary and drab when we met in a café, but that did not spoil our mood. We went out and about with our lenbabies, talked shop all day long, visited the old cemetery, learned a lot from each other about camera bags, focus peaking, things to do and better not do in the US, the kids, life and dreams – and snapchat ;-).
Although the weather was not the best and Bonn turned out to be a bit dull and provincial without really being picturesque, I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with Ute. When we parted that day I said goodbye to a friend, a friend I met thanks to Janet’s idea – thank you!
Next up in the blog circle is Seonaid Teal, click here to enjoy his post. And while you are at it, why not get yourself a cup of coffee and click your way around the circle, you’ll find a whole group of talented Lensbaby shooters around the world and very interesting and different views and pictures.
